Mail merge with attachments, from your own Gmail

Add a brochure, a price list or an invitation to a campaign, and Fusomail attaches the same files to every person’s email, sent through your Gmail. Files Gmail would refuse are caught when you add them, with the reason.

Sent with every email of this campaign.

What it does

  • Up to 10 files an email

Attach up to 10 files to a campaign or a template, adding up to 20 MB an email. Files grow by about a third on the way, and some receiving mail servers refuse messages over 25 MB, so keep them under about 18 MB when you can.

  • Blocked types caught first

Gmail refuses programs and scripts such as .exe, .bat and .js, also inside a .zip, and password-protected zips. Fusomail refuses them when you add them, instead of failing when the campaign sends.

  • Files on templates too

Keep the files you send often on a template. A campaign made from it, or a copy of it, gets its own copy of the files.

  • See them before you send

The review step, the preview and the test email to yourself all carry the files, so you see exactly what each person gets.

  • Storage on every plan

All your campaigns’ and templates’ files share your plan’s storage: Free 25 MB, Starter 250 MB, Premium 1 GB and Pro 2 GB.

  • Names kept readable

File names stay as you wrote them, in any language. Only characters that confuse mail apps or computers are replaced.

How it works

  1. 1

Open a draft campaign, or a template, and go to its content.

  2. 2

Drop the files on the attachments area, or choose them from your computer.

  3. 3

Check the total against the 20 MB limit, and remove any file you no longer need.

  4. 4

Send yourself a test, then start the campaign: every email carries the files.

Questions about attachments

How big can the attachments be?

Up to 10 files and 20 MB of files an email. Files grow by about a third on the way, and some receiving mail servers refuse messages over 25 MB, so keep them under about 18 MB when you can.

Which files can’t be attached?

The file types Gmail blocks, such as .exe, .bat and .js, including inside a .zip or a password-protected zip. Fusomail refuses them before you send, with the reason.

Can each person get a different file?

Not today: a campaign’s files go to every person in it. For something that differs per person, such as an invoice, put a link to it in a column of your list and use it as a merge field, for example {{invoice_link}}.

Can I change the files after a campaign starts?

No. Files can be added or removed only while a campaign is a draft, so everyone in it gets the same files. Deleting a campaign frees the storage its files used.

Which plans include attachments?

Every plan, Free included. Plans differ in how much storage the files of all your campaigns and templates may use together: Free 25 MB, Starter 250 MB, Premium 1 GB and Pro 2 GB.

See what each plan includes on the pricing page, or read every question.
