Email verification: catch bad addresses before you send

Fusomail checks the addresses on your list before a campaign: typos in big providers’ domains, domains that take no email, throwaway services and role addresses such as info@. Each contact gets a result, and you choose who is left out.
Sample data
Valid 231Risky 12Invalid 5
  • anjali@chaipoint.exampleValid
  • info@kiteandco.exampleRisky· Role address
  • rahul@gmial.comDid you mean rahul@gmail.com?Risky· Possible typo
  • meera@mailinator.comInvalid· Throwaway
  • tom@oldstudio.exampleInvalid· No mail server

What it does

  • Valid, risky or invalid

Every checked contact gets one of three results, with the reason in plain words, such as “Invalid · No mail server” or “Risky · Role address”.

  • Domains that take no mail

Fusomail asks DNS whether each address’s domain accepts email. An address at a domain without a mail server would only bounce.

  • Typos spotted

gmial.com or yaho.com look like slips for big providers’ domains. Fusomail marks them and suggests the likely address.

  • Throwaway addresses

Addresses at disposable-email services (more than 800 are listed, with their subdomains) are marked invalid: mail to them is wasted.

  • Role addresses

info@, sales@ or noreply@ often reach a shared inbox or a ticket system and are marked as spam more. They are risky, not invalid: you decide.

  • Your choice per campaign

When you launch, invalid addresses are left out unless you keep them, and you can leave out risky ones too. Contacts never checked are always kept.

In Fusomail

How it works

  1. 1

Import your list and choose “Verify these contacts”, or verify any list from the Contacts page.

  2. 2

Fusomail checks the addresses in the background; results fill in as it goes.

  3. 3

Filter by Valid, Risky or Invalid, and fix or remove what needs it.

  4. 4

At launch, choose whether invalid and risky addresses are left out of the campaign.

Questions about email verification

How does Fusomail check an address?

It looks at the address itself, whether it is a role address or a throwaway service, whether the domain looks like a typo of a big provider’s, and asks DNS whether the domain accepts email. It never sends anything to the address and never connects to the person’s mail server (SMTP probing), which can harm your reputation.

Does verification guarantee an email won’t bounce?

No. A mailbox can be full or closed even when its domain accepts email; only the receiving server knows. Verification removes the addresses that are certain or likely to fail.

Is my list sent to another company to be checked?

No. The checks run on Fusomail’s own servers; only each address’s domain is looked up in DNS, as any mail server does before delivering.

Which plans include email verification?

Starter and up (Starter, Premium and Pro). On the Free plan, imported addresses are still checked for ones that cannot work, such as addresses without an @.

See what each plan includes on the pricing page, or read every question.
