Fusomail vs Mailmeteor: an honest comparison

Both send a personal email to everyone on your list from your own Gmail. Mailmeteor is the fuller product. Fusomail is newer and simpler, and its prices are set per currency. Here is where each one is better, with the source for every fact about Mailmeteor.

Checked on 4 November 2026. Every fact about Mailmeteor links to where it says so.

Mailmeteor may suit you better if

  • You want reply detection and automatic follow-ups in the same product.
  • You also send from Outlook or through your own mail server.
  • You want the larger free plan: 500 emails a month against 200.
  • You pay in US dollars and euros, where its first paid plan costs less.
  • You want the website and help in Spanish, French or German.

Fusomail may suit you better if

  • You pay in rupees, where Fusomail’s first paid plan costs less, with a GST invoice for rupee plans.
  • You want to send more in a day on the first paid plan: up to 400 on personal Gmail and 1,500 on Workspace, against 250.
  • You keep your list in Excel and want to upload the .xlsx file as it is.
  • You would rather not track opens at all: Fusomail counts clicks only, because open counts are guesses.

How each one works

Mailmeteor

Mailmeteor runs from a web dashboard, and from add-ons for Google Sheets, Google Docs and Excel and a Gmail extension. SourceIt sends through Gmail, Outlook and other providers over SMTP. Source

Fusomail

Fusomail is one web app with nothing to install. You connect a Gmail or Google Workspace account, upload a CSV or Excel file, write one email with merge fields, and it sends at a pace your account allows.

Questions about Fusomail and Mailmeteor

Is Fusomail cheaper than Mailmeteor?

It depends on the currency. In US dollars, Mailmeteor Starter ($5.99) costs $1.01 a month less than Fusomail Starter ($7). In euros, Mailmeteor Starter (€5.99) costs €1.01 a month less than Fusomail Starter (€7). In rupees, Fusomail Starter (₹449) costs ₹91 a month less than Mailmeteor Starter (₹540). Does Fusomail do everything Mailmeteor does?

No. Mailmeteor has reply detection, bounce detection, Sheets automation and Outlook support, which Fusomail does not have today. Fusomail is the smaller product: it does the mail merge itself carefully, and says plainly what is still coming.

Which has the bigger free plan, Fusomail or Mailmeteor?

Mailmeteor’s: 500 emails a month and 50 a day, against Fusomail’s 200 a month. Fusomail’s Free plan has no lower daily limit, so all 200 can go out on one day.

Do I need Google Sheets for Mailmeteor or Fusomail?

Not for either. Mailmeteor’s dashboard takes a CSV file, a pasted list, Google Sheets or a saved list, and its guide for Excel files goes through Google Sheets. Fusomail takes a .csv or .xlsx file directly.
